第二届东北亚语言文学翻译国际论坛论文征集函

                       The Second Northeast Asia International Symposium on Language, Literature and Translation
                                                                                         Call for Papers

Dear Mr. /Ms. ________,

          Following the success of the First Northeast Asia International Symposium on Language, Literature and Translation (NALLTS) which was hosted by Liaoning Normal University in late October, 2010, the Second will be organized by the Symposium Council, hosted by School of Foreign Languages, Northeast Normal University and assisted by Jilin Association of Foreign Languages from May 18th to 20th, 2012. This symposium aims to promote new ideas and research findings of northeast Asia scholars in language, literature and translation,and to provide a platform for exchange and dialogue among Northeast Asia scholars and scholars in other parts of the world.
The main theme of the symposium is "Opportunities and Challenges: Studies of Language, Literature and Translation in a Globalized context" and within this major theme any theoretical and empirical studies and findings are welcome. The symposium will invite internationally established scholars to give keynote speeches. The submitted papers will be refereed by the symposium scientific committee, and high-quality papers will be included in the NALLTS conference proceedings which may be included in CPCI International Index. Cultural tour to Longwan National Forest Park will be organized on 20th.

         Details of the conference are as follows:
         Theme: Opportunities and Challenges: Studies of language, literature and Translation in Globalization
         Topics:
         1. Globalization or localization? Issues and trends in the research of language, literature and translation; 
         2. Theories and methods in cross-linguistic/cross-disciplinary research of language, literature and translation;
         3. Curriculum and Pedagogy in Language, literature and translation;
         4. Issues and solutions in linguistics and applied linguistics;
         5. Intercultural communication studies/ ESP studies;
         6. Translation studies and corpus linguistics;
         7. Foreign language teaching and literature translation studies.
